About Us
Meet The Team
Troy & Hannah
Having learned so much of the craft of Low and Slow BBQ at home, Troy dedicated himself to making it his life. This has turned into what we now know as Beard Street BBQ.
As owner of the business and head of the pits, Troy is pushing himself to hone his craft and teach himself every day in order to provide the best possible memories for anyone who tries the result of his work.
Hannah is the self proclaimed “sideskick” and has supported the business from before day one. More importantly, the reason BBQ has become a part of their lives.
After suggesting taking a class at “Wood Shop BBQ” in Seattle during 2019, the BBQ bug was planted. Hannah then gave Troy the first pit in the collection to build on what they’d learned overseas. That was the start of everything that has transpired since.
Meet The Team
Friends & Family
Beard Street BBQ has been very lucky in having the support that it does.
For all of our public events we’ve had members of both Troy & Hannah’s family as well as members of The Cleaver Crew come around and lend a hand in any way they can. We’re always thankful for everyone that takes part.
You never know who you might see at a Beard Street BBQ popup!
Meet The pits
leksi
The main base of operations for the team.
Featuring a double doored, two tier main cook chamber and built-in warmer above the fire box. This wood fired Texas style pit nearing on two tonnes of steel is built to cook a lot of food to the highest of quality.
The name is a nod to the Seattle side of us. As big fans of Ice Hockey and the Seattle Kraken, it was fitting to name our big rig after the Kraken’s own big rig Jamie Oleksiak.
Thus Leksi was born.
Leksi was built by the team at Southern Draw BBQ Pits.

Team Rocket
While Leksi is the main beast, you may not need two tonnes of smoker for an event.
That’s where the variety of Team Rocket come into play.
Lovingingly named after the villainous trio from the Pokemon anime series (we’re nerds at heart), our team features “Jesse” the ZGrills 700E-XL, “James” the Fornetto Razzo and “Meowth” the Weber Go-Anywhere.
Each member of the team comes in various sizes/ purposes to be used for specialised events.
For example when hepling out our friends Bulldozer BBQ at a local festival, James and Meowth were brought along to cook chicken ribs as samples for the curious masses, in order to help show of the Bulldozer range of rubs and sauces.
So if you have an idea that requires a creative solution, we could have just what you need.
